GERALD BERTON – President and founder...
Mr. Berton’s considerable marine background of more than 35 years experience includes extensive navigation of the East Coast from Key West north up and through the Bay of Fundy and East Brunswick, Canada; the Gulf of Mexico, the west coast of the USA from San Francisco to San Diego; the Mediterranean Coast from Spain to Italy; and cruises throughout the Bahamas, Mexico, Caribbean, the South China Sea, South Pacific and Japan.  His vast experience in virtually every sea and weather condition, including both offshore, waves and inshore shallows, day and night cruising is available to assist you.  Mr. Berton also holds a 100 tons Master Captain License; a Florida Yacht Brokers License; 

 
 

 is a trained meteorologist;  retired editor of Motor Boating and Sailing; a member of the Explorers Club; consultant to the motion picture industry, celebrities, and captains of industry; and a past member of the US Coast Guard. He has also participated in design, development and marketing of a wide variety of vessels including the Cigarette 38, Excalibur 40, Excalibur 42, Hawk and Profile yachts, and others.  He was involved in Offshore Powerboat Racing for ten years including both engine, power train, surface drive propulsion development and testing, as well as offshore endurance racing for the benefit of the US Olympic Committee.  Mr. Berton’s marine sales experience includes all types of vessels including yachts up to 280 feet, and is also familiar with all aspects of marina operation and has more than ten years experience as president of a multi-marina operation serving more than 3,500 customers.            

   

 


 


                                

 

    

   

RAFAEL BARCA – Vice President of Sales and Operations…  Ralph’s 25 years marine experience includes complete and  intimate knowledge of all aspects of sales, boat construction, handling and maintenance.  His "hands-on" skill includes fiberglass lay-up and construction, rigging and custom crafting and outfitting for companies such as Donzi, Cary and Magnum.   These experiences provided the training and basis to Mr. Barca’s development of Avance Boats, a leading manufacturer of offshore pleasure, racing and military Boats of which  approximately 160 vessels were built. 

 
 

Today these boats are at a  premium as classics. Ralph’s meticulous attention to detail, dedication, and knowledge of rugged boat construction techniques provide you the comfort of having a management professional assist you in your selection, construction, and maintenance of the right yacht.  As operations manager, Ralph supervises a dedicated team of professionals, both in parts and purchasing, as well as having overall responsibility for Global Yachts' world wide operational efforts, whether they be in boat construction or customer support.   Ralph's dedication to perfection is well known by staff member's and vendor's and very much appreciated by our significant customer base.

Chief Financial Officer/Information Technology manager -  With a summa cumlaude undergraduate degree in computer engineering and masters in finance, Ms. Martinez is thoroughly familiar with a diversity of information technology and finance methods, including development of wireless system and implementation of LAN based financial systems. 

 

 
     

 

Art Jones - Business Manager - Known throughout the financial segment of the marine industry as a knowledgeable banker/business manager with more than 20 years  experience.   Art's background includes credit, Chemical bank, and Maryland National Bank.

  
     

 

Moe Schwaninger -
Technical Director - Moe's 40 plus years of experience includes all aspects of ships, yachts and boats of all sixes including mechanical, electrical, and structural projects on steel, aluminum, wood and fiberglass vessels.  Well known throughout the industry as an unabridged encyclopedia of yachting knowledge.

 
     

 

Michael Navarro -
Construction Manager - Mike's extensive experience in customer service and the marine industry, is perfectly employed by coupling customer needs with new innovations and products.  His coordination makes the yachts our manufactures build, truly state-of-the-future, and exactly matching to customer requirements.

 
     

 

Jose Luis Rodriguez -
Service Manager - A trained and skilled electrician and certified mechanic, Jose has earned the reputation for getting it done, whatever the job.  Fully familiar with all aspects of boat systems with extensive hands-on experience in finding quick solutions to difficult problems.

 


                           

 




   

 

Keith V. Maling -  Keith's more than 35 years experience includes all aspect of pleasure and commercial boating, including supervision of new construction and total refits.  His cruising experience includes numerous offshore fishing power boating and sailing trips on the eastern seaboard, Bahamas and Mexico.
